Rahul Gandhi has met with District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents multiple times in 2025 to emphasize their crucial role as the foundation of the Congress party and to implement organizational reforms. He stressed the need for them to work unitedly, focus on grassroots activities, and build a strong, unfactional organization. 
Key points from his interactions and guidance to DCC presidents include:

• Organizational Reforms: Gandhi has been the driving force behind the “Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan” (Organization Creation Campaign), an initiative focused on restructuring the party from the ground up. He views 2025 as a year of significant organizational change, as stated by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
• Role and Responsibility: He highlighted that DCCs are the bedrock of the party and their presidents must ensure every member feels like part of a family, avoiding factionalism and working for the collective interest.
• Grassroots Connection: Gandhi encouraged the presidents to amplify the people’s voices, interact frequently with local party workers and citizens to understand their issues, and strengthen democracy at the local level.
• Candidate Selection Input: To empower the DCCs, their presidents will have a say in the selection of party candidates for future elections.
